Bowl With A Heart

On 27 October, about 120 T-Net Club members and staff attended a basic sign language course to prepare themselves for the bowling competition with the hearing impaired students from Singapore Association for the Deaf (SADeaf). The members learnt alphabets in sign language and practiced forming simple sentences. They also had a hands-on practice session communicating with each other using sign language.

On the following day, the T-Net Club members partnered with the hearing impaired students to form 20 teams at the Planet Bowl @ Civil Service Club for the competition. Friendships were forged as the members communicate with the SADeaf students via sign language and remarkable teamwork was displayed. It was a fun and enriching afternoon over a game of bowling as we witnessed that hearing impaired would not handicap the forging of friendships between our members and the SADeaf students.
